A guy who listens, smiles and treats people nicely? That's all a lotta people are looking for, especially anxious, stressed-out twinks. Trust me.

Oh, goodness. I was mostly joking. But Theo. Koby. Do the very tall and inhuman count? Because then Zephir. That is all I would consider to be the 'twinks' that I see regularly.

You certainly do, very luscious hair at that.

Four is a solid amount -- and you have a charming boyfriend, and seem to be very well-liked. Have you been happy here?

Oh, yes, Tim is ever so charming. I'm quite mad about him, honestly.

We shall pretend for a moment that being elsewhere did not mean my immediate death, because truly that does not influence me as much as one might assume. I am so very happy.

I can understand why, completely. Not quite a "twink", though -- closer to a twunk, we call them.

Well, yes. Contained, in and of itself. That's good.

I will be honest and say that I had assumed body hair to be unappealing to people.

Oh, no, I was only listing the twinks before. Tim isn't one of those. He gets annoyed at them sometimes, in fact.

The horrors of this place are very real. I have seen people I love killed, their bodies desecrated. I have had my most secret fears and my greatest shames put on display for all to see. I have been hurt many times.

But there is love here, and beauty and wonder. You can see things you never thought possible, and rediscover things you thought you knew.

To some people, maybe. I like a bit of it, myself -- but I like pretty much everything.

That's a common trait of twinks. I've known a few at home.

[there's a thoughtful pause.] What happens more? The violence or the revealing?

That's a lovely way to be.

To be fair, Tim gets annoyed at many things.

The revealing, I would say. I hardly bother keeping secrets anymore, even if it is rather improper to just state the truth baldly.

A little greedy, maybe. I enjoy attention most, I suppose is a good way to put it.

I'm gathering. It's endearing.

Hm. [a pause.] Has anyone had anything revealed that's caused public opinion to turn against them? Drastically?

Not a thing wrong with that.

It is.

Some, perhaps, but people are shockingly accepting. No upset seems to last long.

Interesting. As a man with no skeletons in my closet, that's nevertheless reassuring to hear.
